WHAT THEY SAY
The whole family is involved in the success and work of the winery. Carlo's father Giuseppe takes care of the vineyards, while Carlo is the oenologist and works mainly in the vinification department. Carlo and Sylvia, with the invaluable support of Giuseppe and Germana, manage 21 hectares of vineyards, whose produce is vinified and bottled in their cellars in Loazzolo.
Borgo Maragliano sits on the border with the Ligurian Apennine mountains, in the heart of Loazzolo on a natural terrace in the Langhe hills. The region is typified by its marl and calcareous soil. In spring a gentle wind blows in from the sea and crosses Loazzolo. This ‘magical’ breeze, known as the Marin, is most welcome as it favours the maturation and the perfume of the grapes.
WHAT WE SAY
We love the spring-fresh florality of the Moscato, zinging with life from its juicy acidity. The Blanc de Blanc and Rosé are both elegant, structured wines of remarkable finesse and complexity.
WHAT OTHERS SAY
The estate’s tradition of sparkling wine production continues to be its forte. Its Metodo Classico sparkling wine, from Pinot Nero and Chardonnay is worthy of note. Gambero Rosso -Italian Wines 2017
