WHAT THEY SAY

Klaus Lentsch, offspring of a long-established South Tyrolean winegrower family, decided in 2008 to take a new path and has been producing wines typical of the region since then.

Bachgart, Fuchslahn and Eichberg are the historical vineyards that he can call his own. Discover the variety of flavors of the Cru wines from the Eisack Valley, the fresh white wines from the Überetsch and the strong reds from the porphyry slopes in the lowlands.

WHAT WE SAY

The wines are as fresh and elegant as one would expect from the, stunning, cool-climate region where the Southern Alps become the Dolomites. Klaus owns three vineyards, each with unique soil and microclimates. The results are a striking range of aromatic and mineral wines with a clean, mountain-fresh purity.

WHAT OTHERS SAY

Falstaff Wine Guide on 2017 Gruner Veltliner Eichberg DOC. ‘Bright, bright straw yellow with a brilliant core. Very open and inviting nose of wet stone, delicate petrol, fresh and salty of lemon zest. Balanced and full on the palate, shows supple juice with a crisp body, builds up in many layers, long; a successful interpretation of the Veltliner. 92 points’
